A quietly complex glaze that can be a lot of different things, it’s green, it’s steely grey, it’s olive and it’s mustard. Olive Slate shifts like weather – steely blue, sometimes soft moss and bronze where it thins, blue and olive green when applied thickly and a whisper of brown along the edges. It’s slate stone after rain, with enough warmth to make it human. It’s a triumph of science!
There’s something ancient about it, but not old-fashioned, more like a fossil wearing new lofas. Earthy, moody, and a touch confusing, it’s one of those colours that feels honest and a little bit magic.
